Come and join the International Fairy Tea Party 2014

Resharing some photos from last year...

I have been sharing a few links again on the International Fairy Tea Party facebook page and it has got me all excited again about fairies and collaborating with folks from Fafu and with others around the world celebrating all things magical... children's play and imagination...

There are lots of posts connected to fairies and the International Fairy Tea Party (2013) - as we did a wonderful term long project about it - even though we dipped into other areas the children's interest in fairies was strong and kept bringing us back... in fact the children have been talking endlessly about fairies and magic and powers again as spring came and their interest in nature was awakened with the flowers and green!

The main focus of this year's International Fairy tea Party is NATURE...
Fairies are an excellent way of getting children out and looking closely at nature - we noticed how our groups started noticing tiny details that they had missed before - despite visiting the same patch of forest and the same Snail park over and over again...

And don't worry about it being a girly thing... it is not! Definitely not! The boys are just as much into fairies as the girls... the magic, exploring nature, good, bad, where do they come from, spells... way to much adventure going on... and let's not forget flying... of course I wanted to look into the science of flying.... but the children already could fly, a bit of fairy dust, or some paper wings and just a leap of imagination - where most adults could see only jumping, the children saw flying... pure magic...

So why not join us this year in September for the second International Fairy Tea Party...

And by the way... this is my last post connected to #Blogg100... yep that's right... 100 posts in 100 days! yippeeee!
